Rescuing the Horses
BWC2 rescues mistreated, neglected abused and/or slaughter-bound horses. A horse with this background shows signs similar to those of PTSD. Situational awareness takes on a whole new meaning when you're working with a 1200 pound animal.
Our Veterans, First Responders and Horses share similar symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Their triggers could be the slightest sight, touch or sound. This gives the veterans and first responders a greater understanding of the mindset of the horses we rescue.
Since 2009, BWC2 has worked successfully with children with diagnoses ranging from autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, down syndrome and blindness. The program helps children build core body strength, increase motor skills and develop their ability to focus and problem solve
Dave, the founder of BWC2, is ranked by Lessons.com as one of the best horseback riding instructors in the area
